Laundry Days Don’t Suck

Ahhhh. Here’s to laundry days that don’t suck.

Back on land, I raised four kids and had two washing machines in my laundry room. Laundry day was always a bear. Washing, sorting, folding, organizing–I often referred to myself as a “Laundry Goddess”, but really I was more like a domestic incarceration survivor.

Now, I love laundry days. I’ve got a nice washing machine in my master cabin and the lovely sun and breeze as my dryer. I put up my hammock and read while I wait for the permanent press cycle to finish.

The kids have left and it’s just the two of us again, we cleaned up the salon, tidied the guest cabin, washed the bedsheets and our small pile of clothes. And now we wait and let Mother Nature do all the work for a change.
