On our drive though Bosnia & Herzegovina, we did a little sleuthing on our phones and got in contact with the missionaries in Sarajevo. The Elders were busy but the sisters had a spare hour during lunchtime for us to take them out to eat. We love meeting missionaries wherever we go and taking them out for a meal. It’s great to hear them talk about the place that has become like a second home and the people they are serving while they are there.
Here in Sarajevo, they offer free english classes at the church building. Their week is full of a lot of service projects and working to see where they can help others. As we chatted over lunch the sisters talked about the hardships the people here have endured as they struggled to become independent. The girls shared with us that they are learning to love and listen because that sometimes is the best medicine.
